Abstract | The Institute for Forensic Medicine in Ljubljana performs toxicological analyses of blood and urine samples taken from road users apprehended on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs. A retrospective study of requests for toxicological analyses provides an insight into the growing problem of drug driving in Slovenia. The activities of the Institute in this field are also directed towards law enforcement, education, epidemiological research and prevention issues. | |
