Abstract     The pollen measurement has been performed on two locations in Slovenia: in the central part of the state in Ljubljana and at the North Mediterranean coast in Koper. The main pollen types in the air on booth locations were as follows: Birch, Beech, Oak, Hornbeam and Hop Hornbeam, Plane tree, Walnut family, Willow, Poplar, Maple, Ash, pollen from Cypress and Yew family, Sorrel and Grass. The big amount of Spruce and Pine pollen was airborne. We also registered pollen of Composite family, Sedge family, Heath family, Sorrel, Plantain, fruit trees, Elder and Mulberry. The difference in pollen type list between Ljubljana and Koper region was small: the Nettle family pollen in Koper representes Pellitory, in Ljubljana the source is unknown. The difference in counts of airborne pollen in Ljubljana and Koper is big. The month total in Ljubljana was 12695 pollen grains per month, in Koper 55715 pollen grains.
