Abstract     Product of ECM11 gene was found to interact with Cdc6 protein used as bait in two-hybrid screen. Among all five positive clones obtained by the screen, it activities both reporter genes the most efficiently. By fusion with green fluorescent protein (GFP) we demonstrated that the gene product Ecm11 is located in the cell nucleus throughout the whole cell cycle. Since all known functions of Cdc6p are associated with chromatin, this result makes the interaction of Cdc6 with Ecm11 credible.
Summary     Ugotovili smo, da produkt gena ECM11 aktivira oba poročevalska gena, če smo kot vabo v poskusu dvohibridnih interakcij uporabili Cdc6. Med vsemi petimi kloni, ki smo jih dobili ob pregledovanju genske banke, je bila reakcija vabe Cdc6 s plenom Ecm11 najmočnejša. Protein Ecm11 smo izrazili kot fuzijski protein z zeleno-fluorescirajočim proteinom (GFP) in ugotovili, da se nahaja v jedru v vseh fazah celičnega cikla. Ker so vse znane funkcije proteina Cdc6 vezane na kromatin, obstaja velika verjetnost, da Cdc6 in Ecm11 dejansko interagirata.
