Abstract     Kinetic, inhibition, labelling and stability studies were carried out to probe the peripheral anionic site (PAS) of human butyrylcholinesterase. It was found that a) D70 and Y332 are key components of the PAS, b) there is cross-talk between tha PAS and the catalytic site, c) the PAS controls the hydration of the active site gorge.
Summary     Vlogo anionskega perifernega mesta človeške butilholinesteraze smo raziskovali s pomočjo kinetičnih študij, inhibicije, označevanja in stabilnosti. Ugotovili smo da: a) sta najbolj pomembna aminokislinska ostanka asparginska kislina na mestu 70 in tirozin na mestu 332, b) obstaja navzkrižna povezanost med perifernim anionskim mestom in katalitičnim mestom encima, c) periferno anionsko mesto nadzoruje hidracijo mesta, kjer leži aktivni center encima.
