Abstract		Lump in the breast is the cause for fright and anxiety in woman, therefore the diagnostic procedure has to be swift and accurate. Clinical examination has to be performed in order to recognize the nature of the lump in breast, then mammography and fine-needle aspiration biopsy. Lumps can be benign or malign by nature. Most frequent benign causes are: cysts, fibroadenomas, hematomas and fat necrosis, while most frequent malign causes are breast carcinoma and much more rarely phyllodes tumor.
Summary		Zatrdlina v dojki pri ženski povzroči strah in tesnobo, zato mora biti diagnostični postopek hiter in natančen. Da bi spoznali naravo zatrdline v dojki, moramo opraviti klinični pregled, mamografijo in aspiracijsko biopsijo s tanko iglo. Vzroki zatrdline v dojki so lahko benigni ali pa maligni. Najpogostejši benigni vzroki so: ciste, fibroadenomi, hematomi in maščobna nekroza. Najpogostejši maligni vzrok je karcinom dojke dosti redkeje pa filodni tumor.
