Abstract		The article presents a 39-year old patient with alcoholic liver disease. He was admitted to our institution due to a complication of liver disease, alcoholic hepatitis. After his discharge from hospital, the patient continued to drink. He was readmitted to our department because of liver decompensation. Alcoholic hepatitis is a serious complication of liver disease. There are different opinions about the therapeutical approach, but alcohol abstinence is still most important.
