Abstract     Most blunt thoracic traumas are associated with motor vehicle and sport related accidents. Severe thoracic trauma is associated with injuries involving the head, abdomen, and extremities. The outcome of thoracic patients is determined mainly by the severity of the lesions and the recognition of the lesions. Imaging diagnosis of thoracic trauma based upon assessment of the admission supine and upright chest radiograph but it is less sensitive than thoracic Computed tomography (CT) for rapid diagnosis of lifethreatening traumatic thoracic pathology or detection of the spectrum of thoracic injuries. Spiral CT, angio CT, Magnetic resonance(MR) and Ultrasaund (US) are very important imaging methodes for diagnosis of chest trauma.
