Abstract		Safe use of the airway adjuncts is possible only when indications and contraindications are known, when insertion skills are adequate with adequate preparation before use of the adjuncts and obligate position confirmation. If this conditions are met then adjuncts could be used in anesthesia and in emergency medicine. Exclusive nurses responsibility is adequate preparation and care for the adjuncts, especially for those meant for multiple uses. The adjuncts should be kept at hand, and nurse should be familiar with adjuncts keeping places. Nurses r,esponsibility could also be assisting with the insertion or even direct use of the adjuncts: Because of that nurse should know not only cleaning characteristics and procedures which are her responsibility, but also all the other aspects of adjuncts use includaryg acquiring adequate insertion skills. This skill should be acquired in a certified manner. Adjuncts should be used only by those who are skilled enough.
