Abstract		For the purpose of investigating the causes of road accidents, various expert opinions are produced to meet the needs of courts. These include forensic opinions as well as traffic and technical ones. Unfortunately practice shows that often the answers realting to the two professional areas differ, which in many ways hinders and prolongs judicial proceedings; the reason lies in the lack of cooperation between experts in different specialities. The paper presenets this issue and points out the need for co-operation between experts in forensic medicine and experts in road traffic. It gives some examples from practice and concludes with the author's proposal on the form of such co-operation.
