Abstract     The question of traffic safety and drivers' ability to drive safety is highly related to adequate level of drivers' cognitive, and psychomotor tasks. These tasks are highly influenced by presence of alcohol in humans body. Many researchers tray to define the lowest safe BAC (Blood Alcohol Content), only to proof that, depending of experimental conditions, influence of even smallest measurable amount of BAC on human's performance can be established. In the year 1996 and 1997 the SARTRE2 survey was carried out in 19 European countries and comparisons of the attitude of European drivers towards road safety (including opinions on driving under the influence of alcohol) have been performed. Many differences were revealed among divers of different countries, thou some important similarities were established that can be used in planing common safety measures in different countries.
