Abstract		Production and trade of asbestos products are forbidden since 1996. The fact isn't enough to ensure that there will not be no exposure to dust arising from asbestos or materials containing asbestos. There are thousands tons of asbestos built in buildings, houses, schools, kindergartens, trains, ships etc., which should once be removed. Workers at the highest risk for asbestos illness will be those who will remove asbestos and materials containing asbestos, especially construction workers. Draft of the regulation on the protection of workers from the risks related to the exposure to asbestos at work forecast minimum requirements for safety and health at work with asbestos. It is based on the EU Directive 83/477/EEC which is amending with Directive 91/382/EEC. Draft of the regulation includes the'definitions of basic terms, prohibitions and restrictions, limit values and the obligations of the employers in the area of health and safety at work. Employers should take into account all minimum requirements from the draft of regulation, but they can also assure mare restrictive requirements.
Summary		Leta 1996 sta bila zakonsko prepovedana proizvodnja in promet z azbestnimi izdelki To še ne zagotavlja, da ne bo več prihajalo do izpostavljenosti delavcev azbestnemu prahu ali prahu materialov, ki vsebujejo azbest. V gradbene objekte, stanovanjske hiše, šole, vrtce, vlake, ladje ipd. je vgrajenega na tisoče ton azbesta, ki ga bo potrebno odstraniti. V prihodnosti bodo predstavl'ali najbo j rizično skupino delavcev tisti, ki bodo odstranjevali vgrajeni azbest in azbestne materiale, predvsem gradbeni delavci. Osnutek pravilnika o varovanju delavcev pred tveganji zaradi izpostav jenosti azbestu pri delu predvideva minimalne zahteve za zagotav janje varnosti in zdravja pri delu z azbestom. Osnutek pravilnika je izdelan na osnovi direktive EU 83/477/EEC in njene dopolnitve 91/382/EEC. Zajema razlago osnovnih pojmov, prepovedi in omejitve, mejne vrednosti, najobsežnejši del pa je namenjen obveznostim delodajalca za varovanje zdravja delavcev. Delodajalci bodo morali upoštevati vse minimalne zahteve iz omenjenega pravilnika, seveda pa bodo lahko uvedli tudi strožje ukrepe.
