Abstract		In the water supply ground waters are very important. For this reason the quality of the ground waters must be monitored and also to protect ground waters resources. For over the century the city of Ljubljana has been supplied with the ground water of good quality that is located in the vicinity of the city and it aclually flows under the populated area. The results of monitoring of the ground water quality of Ljubljansko polje and Ljubljansko barje will be presented.
