Abstract		A serious complication of chronic renal failure and longlasting therapy with hemodialysis is hyperplasy of all parathyroid glands and sequential hyperparathyroidism. Number of patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism is proportionaly increasing with duration of hemodialysis. Medicamental prevention is not always successful and renal transplantation is a partial and because of organ lack unfortunately a rare solution. Therapy is surgical resection of parathyroid glands and autotransplantation of parathyroid tissue in brachioradial muscle of the forearm.
