Abstract		The text is based on the analysis of information literacy and digital literacy. The later is newer expression, which is gaining ground and its' advantage is the connection to digital library. Two definitions (broader and narrower) of digital library are presented, both connected to the digital literacy. Information/digital literacy is defined as the mixture of knowledge and skills, which enable the use of services provided by the modern technology (digital libraries). Information/digital literacy is seen also as one of the prerogatives for information society.
