Abstract     With the increasing amount of electrical devices the human and living environment is rapidly changing. In comparison to natural non-ionizing radiation (NIR), the intensity of artifically created radiation has stronlgy increased. The opinion that these NIR may have a negative effect on people has become widely spread. The fact that we do not sense the NIR directly, but the radiation has to be measured, has even increased the general uncertainty. Paper deals with the surrent state in the field of occupational exposure in Slovenia, including radiation protection activities.
