Abstract		In Europe, all rosaceous fruit trees are severely affected by diseases caused by phytoplasmas. Recently, progress of these diseases in Slovenia is reported based on visual assessments of symptoms. For the routine detection of fruit tree phytoplasmas new sensitive and specific molecular and serological methods were introduced. The pres ence of Apple prolifcrntion (AP), Pear decline (PD) and European stone fiuit yellows (ESPY) phytoplasmas was tested in 48 fruit trees from different regions in Slovenia. The results confirmed the presence of all three fruit tree phytoplasma.
