Abstract		The article provides a brief overview of the water situation in Slovenia. It lists the main water polluters in Slovenia. It gives the values of the content of contaminants for individual water courses and underground water sources. It briefly descibes lakes and their pollution level as well as the pollution levels of Slovenian coastal waters. It separately descibes the quality of drinking water, which must comply with the requirements of the Rules on the Suitability of Drinking Water from the Aspect of Health. For certain underground water sources, it states values of certain pollution parameters, which increase occasionally but remain below the value determined by statute.
