Abstract     Two methods of treatment were combined, neuro-developmental treatment and the use of individually manufactured orthotic aids for ankle and foot. With the children after the damage of CNS we can find abnormal muscle tone and abnormal patterns of movements which can considuably diminish the general development of the child and can consequently lead to limited range of movements and deformations. The aim is to achieve and maintain the normal walking patterns with the neuro-developmental treatment concept with the combination of the use of individually manufactured orthotic aids for ankle and foot. In this way we maintain the foot in a proper position, better support of the body weight and therefore better stability when walking. In the present work three children after the damage of CNS are presented. Clinical and kinesiologycal analysis of the gait showed when using orthosis better movement patterns of feet, knees and hips were achieved. The walking became faster, they got longer double steps and more normal gait cycle. Soft-tissue damages and contractures were prevented.
