Abstract		Echocardiography in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is important for making diagnosis of ACS, when other tests are not diagnostic. It is also important for excluding other reasons for sudden thoracic pain, such as aortic dissection and pulmonary embolism. It provides information about the extent of ischemic cardiac regions and eventual complication of ACS and acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
