Abstract     This study points out some of the didactic and methodical aspects which accompany problems of children's involvement into topmost sports. These partial findings were acquired within widely extended international project, planned in 1994 in Koln, on the twentieth anniversary of the Academy for Trainers. Concept of the project was organisationally and methodically designed by the group of sports pedagogues, trainers, psychologists, and journalists of the participating countries. By commonly designed questionnaire earmarked for sportspersons, their parents, trainers, and teachers, we managed to gain very interesting findings and comparisons, with the essential goal to pay more professional and researching attention and debate to the young people involved in topmost sport and undergoing bitter way to the topmost results, above all to find proper solutions and ensure optimal possibilities of development of their capacity in accordance with their physical development.
Summary     V pričujoči študiji so izpostavljeni nekateri didaktični in metodični vidiki, ki spremljajo problematiko vključevanja otrok v selekcije vrhunskega športa. Te parcialno predstavljene ugotovitve so pridobljene v obsežnem mednarodnem projektu, zasnovanem leta 1994 v Kolnu ob 20 - letnici obstoja Trenerske akadernije. Koncept projekta je organizacijsko in metodološko oblikovala skupina športnih pedagogov, trenerjev, psihologov, pedagogov športa in novinarjev sodelujočih dežel. Preko skupno oblikovanih vprašalnikov, ki so bili namenjeni športnikom, njihovim staršem, trenerjem in učiteljem, smo uspeli pridobiti zelo zanimive skupne ugotovitve in primerjave s temeljnim namenom, da na tej težavni in garaški poti do vrhunskih rezultatov posvetimo športu mladih več strokovno-raziskovalne pozornosti in ustreznih obravnav, predvsem pa iskanja primernih rešitev, ki so harmoničnemu razvoju mladostnikov bolj naklonjene in prijazne ter mu zagotavljajo optimalne možnosti razvoja vseh njihovih zmogljivosti.
