Abstract		Cancer is one of the diseases least suitable for self-healing with homemade drugs, yet this does not mean that preparations of medicinal herbs are unsuitable for cancer treatment. Quite the opposite. Among the most successful drugs against cancer there are quite a few herbal ones. The herbs whose extracts are used in cancer treatment include the yew, the Madagascar periwinkle and the autumn crocus. The use of the latter has been dropped due to its greaf side effects. Besides medicinal herbs, cancer treatment afso includes some alternative methods; whose efficacy, however, has not been scientificalfy proven yet.
