Abstract		We report a case of a 54 year old patient who has been treated with immunosupressive agents because of a very active rheumatoid arthritis. She was addmited to the hospital with a high temperature and signs of gastroenteritis. Sepsis with Listeria monocytogenes was confirmed. She died because of septic complications with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
