Abstract     Different therapeutic approaches to two most common emergencies in infants and small children (Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)/ Acute life-threatening event, (ALTE) and febrile seizures) are presented. In SIDS it is mandatory to follow the overall sequence of basic life support in cardiopulmonary arrest, whileon the other side an infant or child in febrile seizures is usually respiratory and cardiocirculatory stable.
