Abstract		The predictive model for the risk of preterm delivery, which we proposed earlier (12), was verified on the population of women, who gave births in the last three months of the year 2001 in the Ljubljana Maternity Hospital. We found an excellent agreement between the predicted and actual preterm delivery rate for prepregnancy risk factors. The agreement was worse but still acceptable for the pregnancy risk factors. We conclude that the predictive model is suitable for clinical use.
