Abstract		Health-educational work with population aged 65 years or more, aimed at healthier and more qualitative life is described in the article. It stresses and states the significance of needs concerning nursing care and education, and defines the aims that consider an individual with all his/her characteristics of the age, the execution of corresponding programmes and their evaluation: The significance of the aged people self-image and its influence on his/her acceptance of life during health and illness is also emphasized. The process of pedagogical work with elderly people and the personality of nursing personnel are described.
Summary		Članek opisuje zdravstvenovzgojno delo s populacijo staro 65 in več, za bolj zdravo, bolj kakovostno življenje. Poudarja in ugotavlja pomen potreb po zdravstveni negi - vzgoji, učenju, določa cilje, ki upoštevajo posameznika z vsemi njegovimi značilnostmi v tem obdobju, izvedbo odgovarjajočih programov ter vrednotenje. Poudarja pomen samopodobe starostnika in njen vpliv na njegovo sprejemanje življenja v zdravju in bolezni. Opisuje andragoški proces in osebnost izvajalca zdravstvene vzgoje.
