Abstract		The article deals with family in its different life periods. Only adaptation of family members to these periods and to each other enable security, personal growth and maturation. It is very important for nurses and nursing technicians to be aware of this facts, as they enter families of their patients and clients in the frames of their everyday work. Quality nursing care is only possible if they are consciously aware of their own family life.
Summary		Prispevek obravnava družino skozi njena življenjska obdobja. Če želijo družinski člani, da jim družina omogoča varnost, osebno rast in zorenje, se morajo tem obdobjem in drug drugemu stalno prilagajati. Za medicinske sestre in zdravstvene tehnike je pomembno, da se tega zavedajo. Pri vsakodnevnem delu vstopajo v družine bolnikov in varovancev. Pomembno je, da se zavedajo svojega lastnega družinskega življenja, ker le na ta način lahko kakovostno izvajajo zdravstveno nego.
