Abstract		The hospital school realises the child's right to education during the period of medical treatment. The hospital teacher (ensures close contact with both the) medical staff and the home school. Organisation, contents and forms of educational and learning processes are different and adjusted to the psychophysical state of the individual child. During the treatment hospital school helps the sick child to keep in touch with outside world, friends at school and other peers. Simultaneously it helps the child to continue with regular schoolwork after the treatment at the hospital is finished.
Summary		Bolnišnična šola uresničuje otrokovo pravico do šolanja tudi v času bolezni in zdravljenja. Bolnišnični učitelj poskrbi za tesno povezanost in sodelovanje z zdravstvenimi delavci in matičnimi šolami. Organizacija, vsebine in oblike vzgojnoizobraževalnega dela so drugačne in prilagojene zdravstvenemu in psihofizičnemu stanju posameznika. V času zdravljenja bolnišnična šola pomaga bolnemu otroku ohranjati stike z zunanjim življenjem, s sošolci in vrstniki. Hkrati olajša otroku vključevanje v redno šolsko delo po končanem zdravljenju.
