Abstract		The article reveals the problems concerning the spread of dermatomycosis, caused by dermatophytes, pathogenic for the child population in our country. It also explains the most common reasons for the development and spread of dermatomycosis. The most common dermatophytes, aetiopathogenesis and clinical features are described. The diagnosis is established, not only by laboratory testing, but also especially by clinical features, which are described in detail in this article. The immunopathogenesis and the specific and non-specific defence systems of the body are mentioned. Guidelines for systemic and local therapy of dermatomycosis in children, with regard to the specific cause, are suggested.
Summary		Avtorica v prispevku prikaže na splošno problem širjenja glivičnih okužb, vrsto dermatofitov, patogenih za človeka - otroško populacijo v naših krajih, ter najpogostejše dejavnike, ki so odgovorni za razvoj in širjenje glivičnih okužb. V nadaljevanju opisuje najpogostejše vrste dermatofitov, etiopatogenezo in klinično sliko bolezni. Za pravilno diagnozo je razen laboratorijskih preiskav najbolj pomembno natančno poznavanje klinične slike, zaradi tega je tudi v tem prispevku poudarek na klinični sliki. Opisani so imunopatogeneza ter specifični in nespecifični obrambni mehanizmi. Ne nazadnje so podane smernice za sistemsko in lokalno zdravljenje glivičnih okužb pri otrocih glede na vrsto povzro*itelja.
