Abstract		Perfusion scintigraphy of brains when determining brain death is a reliable supplementary diagnostic method. For determining brain death a singie finding of intracranial blood circulation arrest is also sufficient, along with the proven clinical signs. Perfusion scintigraphy of brains when determining brain death aims to confirm or exclude the regional blood flow. If the latter is not present, this unavoidably causes irrepairable damages of brain cells (necrosis of brain cells).
