Abstract     This paper presents a two-day training programme in youth suicide prevention and intervention skills for key persons. The programme offers a framework of suicidal behaviour and the prevention. It includes social and personal attitudes, multidisciplinary scientific perspectives, misconceptions, meanings of suicidal behaviour, the suicidal process, and referral to and follow-up with therapeutic settings. The trainings are person and experience oriented. A variety of methods are used and the programme can be adapted to a three-day programme. The paper concludes with the major aspects of the evaluation by and the opinion of trainees (N=160) regarding the programme.
