Abstract     Depression and suicidal behavior are common in adolescent schizophrenia but suicidal thoughts are even more serious. This may explain why so many schizophrenic young people take their lives eventually and underscores the need for an evaluation of suicidal thinking even when suicidal behavior and depression are not prominent in this disorder
