Abstract		In the frame of a German Research Project - "Competence Nets in Medicine" the Competence Net Depression was funded in 1999 with ca. 20 million DM for five years. The Teilprojekt 1 "Suicidality" (one out of six "Teilprojekte" of this Competencenet Depression) is dealing with Suicidality with a funding of ca. 4.5 million DM. One of four subprojects is: Subprojekt 1.5.: Neurobiology of suicidal behavior(Multicenter Study). Hypotheses, design of the study and logistics are outlined.
