Abstract     A review of muscular and ligamentar injuries with dislocations and bone fractures of shoulder bones is presented. Consequences of additional traumatic peripheral nerve injuries are included. Besides degenerative changes and traumatic injuries of tendons, shoulder luxation - separation can be caused by central paralysis of shoulder muscles after CVI as well. Survey of rehabilitation methods after a shoulder injury is given with emphasis on kinesiotherapy supported by electroanalgesia with TENS, kriotherapy, hydrotherapy and other methods. An aim is returning the full mobility to the most mobile joint in a human body and return of muscular power. A test for objective assessment of a pain and a functional state of the shoulder from the professionals' point of view - physicians, physiotherapists, health and disability insurance (Constant and Murley test) and patient's point of view, Shoulder pain disability index (SPADI) is presented. Both aspects are recommended.
