Abstract     An elbow is anatomically quite a specific joint, therefore rehabilitation after injuries is difficult and because of possible complications often prolonged. A lot of hard work must be done in order to restore as normal function as possible. With rehabilitation programmes we try to restore the functional state before an injury, prevent complications and enable the patient to return to his normal way of life as soon as possible. When complete restitution is not achievable, we try to reach the range of motion which allows the patient functional independence in activities of daily living, especially in personal and intimate hygiene. We can also help the patient with some orthotic devices.
