Abstract     Natural neurotoxins have already been successfully employed in interpreting certain aspects of brain function. Among toxins, which promise to become useful tools, is a group of secretory phospholipases A2. Several neuronal targets for these toxins have already been identified, however, the details of their action on the molecular level are still largely obscure.
