Abstract     A case of choroidal osteoma presenting in a 25-years old woman is reported. At the ninth month of pregnancy with her second child, the patient noticed a sudden decrease of visual acuity in her right eye. A serous retinal detachment over a flat yellow-orange lesion in the right posterior pole was found. Visual acuity in the affected eye was 0.1. Echography, fluorescein angiography computerised tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and visual field tests were performed. Echography and computerised tomography were the best methods for identifying this lesion. The origin of choroidal osteoma is still a cause of discussion.
