Abstract		Bibliometrical approach of assessing quantity and quality of publications has become more common in recent years. Specialised databases, maintained by domestic and international abstracting and citation services are used. These databases contain data on published articles and their citations. Our aim was to assess the main bibliometric indices for the researchers of University Psychiatric Hospital in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The data were gathered from the database of Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). All papers which were published between 1991 and 2001 in journals included in the Science Citation Index (SCI) and the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) were considered. In the specified period there were 34 publications, 15 of which were cited for a total of 74 times. The results show high presence of researchers in the international scientific literature.
