Abstract		Here are presented research data on common chronic diseases in Croatian population over 65 years of age. Fist arthrosis are more common in women (21.8% : 13.9 in men), while rheumatoid arthritis is three times as common (6.4% women vs. 1.8% in men). Out of 8.3% of subjects with injuries in 23.5% it concerned wrist injuries (amputations 8.5%, fractures 8.2%, contusions 2.2%, gunshot wound 2.1%). The necessity of comorbidity observation as well as objectification of morphologic and functional wrist changes is emphasized. Observance of physical and working therapy algorithms is essential.
