Abstract		The functional rehabilitation outcome after surgically treated hip fracture in elderly population is presented. Seventyfive patients (average age 79,8 years) were assesed at admission and before discharge with Functional Independent Measure (FIM), 9-minutes walking test and 10 meters walking test. The average difference of FIM score was 13,4. At admission only 19 and at discharge 53 patients were able to walk. We conclude that functional status of patients with hip fracture admitted at our department is low, therefore they represent very demanding population for rehabilitation treatment.
