Abstract     In the theoretical part (No 2) of research there are presented the newest recognitions on the etiopathogenesis of development of acute pancreatitis (AP). This is of the elementary importance for the effective treatment of disease. There are many factors which have the influence on the induction of the AP. The AP is a very complex activity. The biliary calculosis predominates in our district and the alcoholism takes the second place as the cause of the development of the AP. The present medicamental and surgical treatment of the AP has still got a high degree of mortality in its necrotic form. We developed the model of experimentally induced AP in Wistar rats by the reflux of duodenal chyme and 5 per cent sodium taurocholate solution into their pancreatic ducts by operative procedure in anesthesia. It is presented in the chapter No 6, Matherials and methods. This model gives us the possibility to study the effects of Prostaglandin E (PGE2) on the stabilisation of the lysosomal and cell membranes. This stabilisation reduced the activity of the mobilised pancreatic enzymes in pancreatic acinouses. It is presented in the chapter No 7 (Results). The groups of animals which had got the PGE2 after induction of the AP with the measurement of the serum amilase values and pancreatic histologic changes are presented in the chapter No 7 (Results). The reduced pathologic-histologic changes of the pancreas and mortality are shown by the treatment of the exogenic PGE2. The author developed new method of experimental AP which is compared with other models. The results of the research give us the possibility of the reduction of the effects of the pretemporarily activated pancreatic enzymes by the PGE2 at the early start of disease. The methods open the new possibilities in the treatment of the AP. By the use of the PGE2 the development of the necrotic form of the AP is reduced. At the same time the mortality of the exeperimental animals is reduced.
