Abstract		Health care of sportsmen is actually defined with instructions to perform preventive health protection on basic level (Ur. l. RS 19/98), according to the sports law with changes (Ur. l. 22/98) and supplements of the obligatory health insurance principles (Ur. l. 47/97). We found out for the realisation of the preventive health care of sportsmen that the rules about competence and responsibility of the government, the institute of health insurance and health performers are not clearly defined. The type and the extent of health achievernent and medical care of sportsmen do not depend on the professional performers decision but on the institute of health instructions. It is necessary to restore the performers network of preventive health care of sportsmen with adequate licences and communication between specialists of sport medicine and school specialists to prevent the duplication of the preventive examinations.
Summary		Mladina, ki se aktivno ukvarja s športom, sodi v skupino mladih z večjim tveganjem. Namen izvajanja zdravstvenega varstva športnikov je preprečiti poškodbe in bolezni v povezavi s športno aktivnostjo in nuditi športniku hitro in primerno medicinsko oskrbo. Trenutno situacija na področju preventivnega zdravstvenega varstva mladih športnikovo v Sloveniji zahteva določene prilagoditve preventivnega programa, ureditev organizacije in pravno-finančnega stanja. Mladi športniki (kategorija perspektivni in republiški, mlajši od 12 let) bodo preventivno pregledani vsaki dve leti, in to ob rednem sistematičnem pregledu, ki ga bo zdravnik razširil še z vsebinami, predpisanimi za športnike. Izvajalci bodo zdravniki s C-licenco, ki sicer izvajajo zdravstveno varstvo šolskih otrok in mladine na primarni ravni. Nosilec in organizator kontinuiranega podiplomskega izobraževanja iz medicine športa bo Center za medicino športa Kliničnega inštituta medicine dela, prometa in športa, ki bo tudi upravljavec registra zdravnikov s C-licenco.
