Abstract     Backcground: Rehabilitation and the purpose of rehabilitation of the patients with malleolar fractures, are represented. The review of the patients with malleolar fractures, rehabilitated in an outpatient clinic of Rehabilitation medical centre (CMR), is performed. Methods: Different methods of physical therapy are represented. The structure of the patients with malleolar fractures, rehabilitated in CMR in 2002, is showed up. Prescribed therapies and the functional outcome at the end of the rehabilitation, are also presented. Results: The most important part of rehabilitation was kinesytherapy. All patients improved their functional status. At the end of the rehabilitation most of them haven't improved yet their gait to the levef before the injury. Conclusions: After surgical treatment of malleolar fractures, rehabilitation is necessary to achieve optimal performance of gait.
