Abstract		Cornplementary and natural healin.g includes a whole range of procedures, technics and methods that can benefit the health and wellbeing of a patient. Because their efficiency is not yet scientificly proven and they are not based on the medical doctrine they could not be equally complemented to the accepted medical treatment. The article brings us a review of various methods of healing, their background and understanding of health and disease and their possibilities of use in the medical care. The authoress thinks that it is of great importance that the society of professional workers of medical care is taking part in discussions about cooperation between healing practices and nursing.
