Abstract     Lately new trends have appeared in the field of health care, promotion and life-quality development, which are holistically oriented and foster the harmony between various human dimensions. That is the sphere of activity of The Art of Living Foundation, an international nongovernmental organization with a special consultative status in the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, which also works in formal consultation with the World Health Organization in development of a global health policy for the 21st Century. The aim of its programs, which are implemented in more than 140 states all over the world, is to improve the quality of life in all its aspects; to contribute to greater physical, psychical and social well-being of people. The programs in Slovenia are carried out by the Institute for Strengthening of Human Values. The arricle presents various researches about the Art of Living program including our studies about its experiential and biophysical effects and indicates the benefits of its implementation to the health care system.
