Abstract | The paper presents a neuropsychological model of information-preserving brain processing of images along the retino-geniculo-striate visual pathway until the subject becomes conscious of them. The visual consciousness is not explained, but those processes are described which are hypothetically responsible for conscious experience or are correlated with it. A comprehensive and systematic overview of the experimental neuropsychological, neurophysiological, psychophysical, biocybernetic and neuro-modeling literature is given as well as an optimal integration into a new model of image processing in brain. It is founded on the Pribram "holographic metaphor", i.e. a model based on generalized holography. | |
Summary | Članek predstavlja nevropsihološki model informacijsko varčne možganske obdelave vidnih vzorcev vzdolž retino-genikulo-striatne vidne poti do njihovega ozaveščenja. Vidna zavest ni razložena, pač pa so opisani procesi, iz katerih ozaveščanje slik domnevno izhaja oziroma z njimi sovpada. Podan je izčrpen in sistematičen pregled eksperimentalne nevropsihološke, nevrofiziološke, psihofizične, biokibernetske in nevro-modelske literature ter optimalna integracija v nov model procesiranja možganskih slik. Izhodišče zanj je Pribramova "holografska metafora" oziroma posplošeni holografiji podoben model. | |
