Abstract		From 1998 to 2002, I counted calling Corn Crake Crex crex males along some 1400 m long transect SE from the village of Bevke at Ljubljansko barje, the most important locality for this bird in Slovenia. Each year, surveys were made at night between May 21st and 28th. The number of Corn Crakes declined from 25 in 1999 to 10 in 2002. I excluded the possibiliry of the negative trend being a result of the weather or fieldwork method, or a direct influence of the intensive farming in the meadows. Whether the changes in the bird's population at Ljubljansko barje reflect its state at a larger scale in Slovenia, should be investigated with an organised counting along several transects.
Summary		Na Ljubljanskem barju, najpomembnejši lokaliteti za kosca Crex crex v Sloveniji, sem vzdolž 1400 m dolgega transekta JV od vasi Bevke v letih 1998 do 2002 štel pojoče samce. Popisi so bili narejeni ponoči, med 21.5. in 28.5. Število je upadlo s 25 pojočih koscev v letu 1999 na 10 v letu 2002. Izključil sem vpliv vremena ali metode popisa na rezultate in tudi neposredni vpliv intenziviranja travnikov. Ali ima sprememba velikosti populacije širše geografske razsežnosti, lahko pokaže le štetje koscev ob več transektih.
