Abstract     In speech and language therapeutic treatment of autistic children, drawing was used as a stimulus for the development of voice-speech-language communication. The present report is based on the acquired experience, which shows that children with undeveloped or underdeveloped speech find it easier ta accept contents accompanied by drawings. We also achieved certain success with children of lower intelectual capabilities by combining the drawing, which was the basis, with rhythmicintonational ditties and counting-out rhymes accompanied by the motoric activity of the extremities. Drawing has proved not only a verygood means of communication, but also the only means of communication with certain groups of autistic children. The obtained results are a strong motivation factor in stimulating and developing voice-speech-language functions of a child, as well as for the speech and language therapist him/herself.
