Abstract     Weassume that teh incidence of aphasia in Slovenia is 700 new cases per year. Participants of round table will present how aphasia is treated with us. Analysis of questionnaries for patients, doctors and speech and language therapists will prove that aphasia is greater handicap than is usually supposed. We feel that in medical community certain degree of scepticism in succesfulness of speech therapy is present and that speech and language therapists are not fully prepared for rehabilitation of speech. Teh goal of round table is to promote improvement of teh quality of life of aphasics in order to comply with their human rights.
