Abstract		Organized gynecologic services traditionally struggle for the preservation and improvement of women's health as well as for early cancer detection. Gynecologists and other specialists play an important role in the detection of breast diseases in particular as it is more and more responsible for health and life deterioration of the female population. In Slovenia, preventive and diagnostic activities of gynecologists in the field of early breast cancer detection and treatment are determined by the following acts: Regulations regarding the changes and amendments of the regulations regarding activitie in the field of preventive primary health care, Professional guidelines for preventive breast examinations in Slovenia, complamentented by comments of the Extended expert committee for oncology as well as the Complemented list of medical performance planning, recording and accounting, issued by the Health Insurance Institute of the RS.
