Abstract     Myasthenia gravis is a disease of great significance to the anaesthesiologist, because it affects the neuromuscular junction. Many patients with this condition are treated by surgical thymectomy. The authors review the anaesthetic considerations in the management of patients with myasthenia gravis who are undergoing thymectomy and other surgical procedures.
